Odisha: Minor girl assaulted, dropped near hospital; leads to trafficking bust

A 16-year-old girl's assault in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, has exposed a disturbing human trafficking racket.
After the teen was admitted to Capital Hospital late on Friday night with serious injuries, police reviewed CCTV footage showing her being dropped off by an individual who fled immediately after.
This clue led them to a suspected sex trafficking operation in the Laxmisagar area.

3 women rescued, traffickers arrested

During a raid at the property this week, officers rescued three women and arrested four people—including Abinash Muduli, who is accused of assaulting the minor.
The victims were reportedly exploited in the operation.
Authorities say they'll support and rehabilitate those rescued, while the case shines a light on ongoing trafficking concerns in India.
