PM Modi wishes nation on Kharna, shares Bhojpuri song

On Sunday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi wished everyone for Kharna Puja, a key day in the Chhath festival that honors Surya Dev and Chhathi Maiya.
He shared a Bhojpuri song by Dinesh Lal Yadav (Nirahua) that reflects the spirit of the festival, highlighting the festival's devotion and traditions.

Chhath Puja kicked off this weekend across Bihar, Jharkhand, eastern UP, and parts of Nepal.
The festival is known for its Vedic rituals and heartfelt folk songs called Chhath Geet.
Modi encouraged people to share these songs—which help everyone feel more connected to nature and tradition—and paid tribute to late singer Sharda Sinha for her iconic contributions to Chhath Geet.
