PM Modi's historic visit to Ghana

Prime Minister Narendra Modi just touched down in Ghana, making him the first Indian PM to visit in over three decades.
This stop is part of his five-nation tour focused on building stronger connections with Africa.
He got a warm ceremonial welcome from President John Dramani Mahama, and the local Indian community in Accra was excited to greet him too.

Modi and President Mahama are set to talk about teaming up more closely on trade, energy, and defense.
The visit is also about boosting partnerships in investment, health, and security—areas both leaders see as key for their countries' futures.
India's Ministry of External Affairs called this trip an important step in deepening ties with partners across the Global South.
