Pune wakes up to its coldest morning this season

India

Pune shivered through its chilliest morning of the year on Saturday, with Haveli dipping to 6.9°C—definitely sweater weather!
Shivajinagar and Pashan weren't far behind, at 8.1°C and 7.3°C.
According to Anupam Kashyapi, former IMD weather forecasting head, a combo of chilly northerly winds and clear skies made things extra cold.

What else is going on?

Other parts of Pune felt the chill too, but spots like Lavale and Chinchwad stayed milder at around 12-15°C.
The IMD says temps will slowly climb back up—expect lows near 12°C by December 24 and a warmer Christmas at 13°C.
Meanwhile, Pune's air quality index hit 171 (moderate), and some folks are dealing with sore throats or colds thanks to the temperature swings.
Experts suggest bundling up and taking care during this cold snap!
