Punjab Police bust major cross-border drug operation

Punjab Police just pulled off a major drug bust, seizing over 60kg of heroin valued at around ₹300 crore near the Barmer border in Rajasthan.
The operation was a joint effort with the BSF and Rajasthan Police, leading to the arrest of nine people from Haryana, Jammu, Rajasthan, and Punjab.

Turns out, this massive haul is tied to an international drug ring with connections to Tanveer Shah in Pakistan and Joban Kaler in Canada.
The Punjab Police chief highlighted that breaking up these syndicates is a top priority for keeping the region safer from narcotics threats.
