Tamil Nadu ADGP arrested in minor abduction case
A top Tamil Nadu police officer, ADGP HM Jayaram, was arrested right inside the Madras High Court after a judge linked him to the kidnapping of an 18-year-old boy.
The incident happened on May 10, reportedly because the boy's elder brother married someone the family didn't approve of.
Justice tells MLA to cooperate with investigators
Justice Velmurugan made it clear that public officials can't get away with helping in crimes, and also told MLA Poovai Jagan Moorthy to fully cooperate with investigators.
Two other suspects have already confessed that Jayaram was involved.
The case is set to continue on June 26.
