The rain has already caused landslides, train cancelations in the Nilgiris, and waterlogging in Chennai.
Fishermen are being told to avoid rough seas for at least two days, and daytime temperatures will dip to around 26-27°C.
Another weather system forming by October 21 could mean even heavier rain across parts of Tamil Nadu, especially northern and coastal districts, through October 23—so it's smart to keep an eye on updates and stay safe.
