UP father kills daughter for talking to boyfriend

A 17-year-old girl in Uttar Pradesh's Shahjahanpur district was allegedly killed by her father after he caught her talking to her lover on the phone and noticed his name written in mehndi on her hand.
The situation escalated quickly, leading to a violent outburst that turned fatal.

Father fled after confessing to daughter-in-law

The girl had wanted to marry a local youth living in Delhi, but her father strongly opposed it—even though her brother supported the match.
After the incident, the father reportedly confessed to his daughter-in-law before running away.
Police have recovered two mobile phones from the scene and are actively searching for him, with multiple teams following leads according to Superintendent Rajesh Dwivedi.
