UP invests ₹23cr in Ayodhya's Deepotsav celebration
India
Ayodhya is gearing up for its ninth Deepotsav, and the Uttar Pradesh government has invested over ₹23 crore to make it extra special this year.
Expect upgraded Ram Ki Paidi and Saryu ghats with traditional stone canopies, big lamps, and new amphitheaters—all designed to blend heritage vibes with modern comfort.
New selfie point, spectator gallery added
The 2.5-km stretch along the ghats now includes worship platforms, Gau Puja zones, a VIP pavilion, and a massive spectator gallery that fits 20,000 people.
There's also a new selfie point with statues of Lord Ram, Sita, and Lakshman—perfect for capturing memories while celebrating Ayodhya's culture.
The whole effort aims to make Deepotsav both unforgettable for visitors and boost Ayodhya as a global tourist spot.
