However, Sagar Shah of a small village called Pipalkoti in Uttarakhand's Chamoli district achieved the feat when he the cleared the GATE 2019 that too in his very first attempt. Here's more on Sagar's inspiring journey.

About

Sagar hails from a simple, middle-class rural family

Sagar, who comes from a middle-class rural family, completed his 10+2 education from a government school and pursued a diploma in civil engineering from Dehradun. Sagar attributes success to support of family and teachers

Clearing GATE in the first attempt without any coaching is no small feat and Sagar achieved it by preparing for the exam simultaneously while pursuing engineering and helping manage his family's 'pakora' shop.
