Uttarakhand wedding party SUV crash leaves 5 dead, others injured

A heartbreaking accident struck Champawat, Uttarakhand in the early morning hours when an SUV carrying a wedding group fell 200 meters into a gorge.
The vehicle was heading toward Balatadi in Gangolihat with 10 people onboard.
Emergency teams rushed to help right after the incident.

Who was affected

Five people sadly lost their lives: Prakash Chandra Uniyal (40), Keval Chandra Uniyal (35), Suresh Nautiyal (32), Bhavana Chaubey (28), and little Priyanshu Chaubey (6).
The five survivors—Devidatt Pandey, Dheeraj Uniyal, Rajesh Joshi, Chetan Chaubey, and Bhaskar Panda—are now being treated in local hospitals.
