Why India isn't feeling the heat of West Asia conflict
India
India's energy supplies are staying steady, even as conflict disrupts West Asia, thanks to a smart move: over the last decade, India diversified its LPG procurement to include cargoes from the US Norway, Canada, Algeria and Russia, in addition to Gulf suppliers.
Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri highlighted this shift in Parliament.
Renewable energy boost
While global oil routes hit turbulence recently, India hasn't faced major shortages or price shocks.
This is partly because of its diverse import strategy and also because renewable energy is booming here: solar power helped push cumulative solar installations past 100 GW by October 2025 (FY2026).
With even bigger green goals set for 2030, India's energy future looks a lot more secure and sustainable.
