Michael Vaughan: News
Former cricketer Michael Vaughan was born on October 29, 1974, and played all forms of the game. As of 2021, he is an English cricket commentator. Vaughan was the captain of the England cricket team in Tests from 2003-2008. He was also the captain of the One Day International side from 2003-2007 as well as the Twenty20 team from 2005-2007. Vaughan, who had represented Yorkshire at the domestic level, was a right-handed opening batsman. He forged a very effective partnership with Marcus Trescothick. He was usually a middle-order batsman for England. After the 2002-2003 Ashes, Vaughan scored 633 runs and three centuries and was also ranked as one of the best batsmen in the world. Vaughan, who was born in Eccles, Greater Manchester, captained England in 51 Tests and won 26 of them. On June 30, 2009, Vaughan announced his retirement from first-class cricket.
