Former England cricket team captain Michael Vaughan feels England and Australia could go on to win the 2020 ICC T20 World Cup.
The ICC World T20 is set to be held in Australia.
Teams have already started their preparations with the focus on the World T20 tournament.
However, Vaughan has identified these two as the favorites.
Key information about the ICC World T20
Vaughan took to Twitter and said he predicts either of these two sides to win the coveted event.
The Aussies are yet to win a World T20 event.
Whereas, England have won the title once in 2009.
16 teams are set to take part in the World T20 event next year.
Recently, six sides qualified from the 2019 ICC T20 World Cup Qualifier.
Vaughan picks these two sides
Second-string England beat New Zealand 3-2 in T20Is
A second-string England side overcame New Zealand 3-2 in a five-match T20I series.
England had several top stars missing, however, skipper Eoin Morgan rallied his side to beat the Kiwis at their own backyard.
England were 2-1 down in the series but came back strongly.
Why England can win the ICC World T20?
England have a strong side on offer and go the distance.
They have some of the most lethal T20 stars and Morgan knows how to get the side past the distance.
England won the 50-over ICC World Cup 2019 and majority of these players will be the strength of this side.
The likes of Chris Jordan have also shown what experience can do.
Australia have been unstoppable in 2019
Meanwhile, Australia won two successive T20I series against Sri Lanka and Pakistan respectively. Australia thrashed Lanka 3-0, before overcoming Pakistan 2-0 at home recently. They are unbeaten in T20Is in 2019. Also, they had beaten India 2-0 earlier in T20Is this year.
Why Australia can win the ICC World T20?
Australia are flying high at the moment and the return of David Warner and Steve Smith have bolstered them.
Warner was terrific against Lanka and Pakistan.
Skipper Aaron Finch has also been scoring a lot of runs upfront.
The bowling has a solid mix as well.
Since the World T20 is in Australia next year, the hosts will thrive in the conditions.
