Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has assured that those found guilty in the alleged embezzlement of funds at the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya will be punished. He was speaking at a public meeting in Rudauli, Ayodhya, where he also inaugurated development projects worth over ₹378 crore. "We have set up an SIT investigation (to probe Ram Temple donation issue) at the request of the Trust. The SIT probe will make everything crystal clear," he said.

Adityanath also slammed the Samajwadi Party and Congress for opposing the Ram Temple movement. He accused them of spreading false propaganda against Ayodhya and its temple. "What can these people tell us, those who used to insult devotees of Lord Ram and who went to the graves of notorious mafias in the state to offer prayers? And now these same people are preaching us about devotion to Lord Ram," he said.

Adityanath also appealed to all sides to refrain from making inflammatory remarks that could hurt Ram devotees' sentiments. He urged anyone with documentary evidence related to the case to submit it to the SIT. "I can assure you that this probe will bring the absolute truth to light," he said, reiterating his commitment to transparency in the investigation.

SIT probe after Akhilesh Yadav's missing donations allegation
The SIT probe comes after Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav alleged on June 7 that crores of rupees in donations at the temple were missing. He had urged courts to take cognizance of this matter. The UP government constituted an SIT on June 13 at the temple trust's request to investigate these allegations of misappropriation of donation money.
