Likewise, Mumbai-Dubai ticket costs Rs. 20,000, Rs. 5,000 more than Chennai-Dubai fares.

Back home, keeping Kochi as common destination, a flight from Delhi would cost more than that from Mumbai. Though domestic flight fares dipped, Mumbai-Delhi route saw 12% hike
In April, it was reported that domestic flight fares have gone down by an average of 4-9% this summer, despite demand for flights having increased by more than 20%. The dip was attributed to the addition of capacity in airlines, more competition, and relatively stable oil prices. However, the Delhi-Mumbai route saw a 12% price hike owing to Mumbai airport's pre-monsoon maintenance runway shutdown.
Tickets from Mumbai steepest between August and September: DGCA
In September-October 2016, tickets for Mumbai-Delhi were sold at a range of Rs. 40,401-46, 973. At this rate, a person can plan a return trip to Mumbai from London or Australia. DGCA pointed out that tickets from Mumbai are the steepest between August and September.
