Maharashtra: Congress seeks contributions from its MLAs
The Congress in Maharashtra is facing one of its worst financial crisis and is seeking a contribution from its MLAs for the same.
The party is looking for contributions worth at least one month's salary from its legislators.
According to a senior Congress leader, mobilizing resources is one of the party's priorities.

Amar Mahal flyover repairs to last four more months
According to officials from the State Government, repair work at the Amar Mahal flyover will take another 4 months, due to which the flyover would remain closed.
Two of the flyover's joints were discovered to be damaged last week; repair work is going to be carried out on 60 metres of the flyover.
Students, parents protest against change in school timings
Students of Shriram Vidyalaya and Junior College in Airoli along with their parents demonstrated a sit-in protest outside the school gate on Monday.
This was being done against the school's spontaneous decision to change the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) school timings from the morning slot to an afternoon one.
According to the parents, they weren't consulted by the school before the decision was taken.
BEST to lease 50 small AC buses
Due to the demands for travelling in AC buses, BEST Undertaking is planning on leasing 50 small air-conditioned buses.
AC bus services were discontinued by BEST from yesterday (Monday) in order to slash losses.
The proposal will be brought in front of its panel; the biggest advantage of the decision is that BEST will not have to look for investment for purchasing buses.
Byculla zoo's Humboldt Penguins prone to infections due to littering
The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation is currently striving to maintain the enclosure created especially for Humboldt Penguins at the Byculla zoo.
This is because visitors have been littering all around the enclosure, increasing the penguins' risk of infections.
More than 12,000 people visit this zoo on weekdays and on weekends, the number of visitors increases up to 30,000 to spot these birds.
Mumbai-Goa coastal highway's tenders to be proposed next month
According to the Public Works Department Minister Chandrakant Patil, tenders for the Mumbai-Goa coastal highway are going to be floated next month.
Mr. Patil was addressing the media after his review meeting with Union Minister for Roads and Highways, Nitin Gadkari.
The coastal highway was proposed by Mr. Gadkari, aligning with the Las Vegas-St. Francisco Pacific Coast in the United States.
