BJP mocks Rahul Gandhi's jungle safari during Bihar assembly elections
What's the story
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has slammed Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for going on a jungle safari in Madhya Pradesh while the Bihar Assembly elections are underway. The party has mocked him as the "Leader of Partying." BJP spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla took to X (formerly Twitter) to criticize Gandhi's decision, saying, "For Rahul Gandhi, LoP stands for Leader of Paryatan and Partying. While Bihar goes to polls, he goes on vacation."

Safari details
Gandhi arrives in Pachmarhi for Congress training camp
Gandhi had arrived in Pachmarhi, a hill town in Narmadapuram district, on Saturday to attend a training camp for Madhya Pradesh Congress district presidents. On Sunday morning, he went on a jungle safari in an open jeep. The safari started from Ravishankar Bhavan at 6:15am and covered around 10km to the Panarpani Gate before returning.
Election rally
Gandhi to address rally in Bihar's Kishanganj
After the safari, Gandhi is likely to fly to Bihar later in the day for an election rally in Kishanganj. During his Madhya Pradesh visit, he also accused the Election Commission of enabling "vote theft" through the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls at the BJP's behest. He alleged that similar "vote theft" happened in Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Chhattisgarh as it did in Haryana.
Democracy attack
Accusations against PM Modi, Amit Shah
Gandhi also accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, and Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar of attacking democracy and Ambedkar's Constitution. He alleged they are working in a "joint partnership" to harm the country. "My issue is that democracy is being attacked, Ambedkar's Constitution is being attacked," he said.
