Amit Shah orders 'hunting down' of Delhi blast culprits

Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday said he has instructed security officials to "hunt down" each and every culprit behind the Delhi blast. "Everyone involved in this act will face the full wrath of our agencies," he said after chairing review meetings with senior officials The blast occurred in a slow-moving car at a traffic signal near Gate No. 1 of the Red Fort metro station on Monday evening, killing nine people and gutting many vehicles.

Congress, Karnataka minister Kharge lead attack on Shah
In the wake of this tragedy, opposition parties have slammed the central government and demanded Shah's resignation. They have accused him of intelligence failure and questioned his ability to ensure national security. Uttar Pradesh Congress chief Ajay Rai was among the first to hold Shah responsible for the incident. "This is the government's failure. The home minister was busy in the elections yesterday," Rai told ANI. Karnataka minister Priyank Kharge also slammed Shah, calling him "the most incompetent home minister."

TMC MP Mahua Moitra slams Shah
Trinamool Congress MP Mahua Moitra also slammed Shah for his failure to maintain internal security. She asked, "Isn't it @AmitShah's duty to protect both our borders as well as our cities? Why is he failing so spectacularly on all counts?" She also referred to him as a "full-time Hate Campaign Minister." TMC national general secretary Abhishek Banerjee called the blast a "grave lapse in internal security." He demanded an impartial probe under court supervision.

BJP hits back at opposition
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has hit back at the opposition, accusing them of politicizing a national tragedy. BJP IT cell chief Amit Malviya slammed rival parties for questioning security agencies instead of supporting them during ongoing investigations. He called Congress "shameless" and accused it of working against national interest. The Union Home Ministry has handed over the investigation of the blast to the National Investigating Agency (NIA).
