DMK supremo and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin is trailing in the constituency of Kolathur after the eighth round of voting, where TVK's VS Babu, with 33,609 votes, is leading. Stalin got 27,105 votes, trailing Babu by 6,504 votes. While TVK is leading in 107 seats, the AIADMK-led alliance is leading in 72 seats, and DMK is leading in 54 seats.
