What's the story

A couple of months after unveiling its fifth-generation Activa scooter, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) has launched the 2018 edition of the Honda Dio scooter in India. 2018 Honda Dio, which gets a host of new features, is available in a standard model and a new deluxe variant, priced at Rs. 51,292 and Rs. 53,292 respectively. Features

The 2018 Honda Dio gets LED headlamps, four-in-one lock

Both the variants of the all-new Honda scooter gets a premium LED headlamp, LED position lamp, a four-in-one lock with seat opening switch, a new metal muffler protector, dual-tone colors and new graphics. Notably, the Honda Dio Deluxe variant also gets a digital instrument panel with three-step "Eco Speed Indicator", along with a service reminder indicator and new gold-finished rims.

Engine and Power

Powered by 110cc engine, top speed of 83 kmph

The 2018 Honda Dio is powered by a 110cc engine, which generates 8 bhp of peak power at 7,000 rpm and 8.9 Nm of peak torque at 5,500 rpm. The scooter gets a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) and can reach a claimed top speed of 83 kmph. It rides on 10-inch wheels with 130mm drum brakes on both ends with a combined braking system.

The scooter comes in nine color options across both variants

The 2018 Honda Dio is offered in nine dual-tone color options across both the standard and deluxe variants. The standard variant is available in - Vibrant Orange, Pearl Sports Yellow, Sports Red, Candy Jazz Blue and Matte Axis Grey Metallic. The deluxe model comes in in four shades - Dazzle Yellow Metallic, Matte Marshal Green Metallic, Pearl Igneous Black, and Matte Axis Grey Metallic.
