Soon, your phone will get 230 new emojis: Details here

Soon, you will have a new pack of emojis to spice up conversations with friends, family and everyone else. The Unicode Consortium, which is the organization responsible for maintaining the global emoji standard, has released a list of new emojis for 2019. It has announced as many as 230 new characters and they are just amazing. Let's take a look at them.

Details
New animals, foods, and drinks

As always, Unicode has expanded the collection of emojis representing animals, foods, and drinks. In the category of animals, we will get emojis representing a guide dog, service dog, skunk, sloth, otter, and an orangutan. Meanwhile, for food items, there are emojis for waffles, falafel, butter, garlic, onion, and more; the organization even added new colors for hearts, including a white one.

Interesting ones
What we found interesting

The latest set of emojis is pretty diverse, but the best ones in our opinion would be those representing a yawning face and a pinching hand. Also, do note that the organization kept Indian culture in mind while designing these characters; it included emojis for a temple, saree, and a diya lamp. And, interestingly, you will also get an emoji for an autorickshaw.

Information
Other notable emojis

Among other notable emojis, there are multiple variations representing couples holding hands, man/woman in a wheelchair, mechanical arm and leg, Saturn, blood drop, parachute, axe, razor, and a kite.

Availability
However, the roll out might take a while

The emojis are interesting, but it is important to note it may be a while before they hit your smartphone. Unicode plans to release the emojis in March, which means apps and operating systems could take several months to integrate them into their text boxes. From where we see, the emojis should start showing up in April and continue rolling out till the year-end.
