    Information

iPhone Xr prices slashed by up to Rs. 6,400

According to Mahesh Telecom, Apple has slashed the prices of iPhone Xr by upto Rs. 6,400. Notably, the phone was launched at Rs. 76,900 for the 64GB storage variant while the 128GB and 256GB variants were introduced at Rs. 81,900 and Rs. 91,900, respectively.

    Price drop

Revised prices could be applicable to new stock only

While Apple hasn't yet confirmed this price drop, major online sellers like Flipkart and Amazon continue to offer iPhone Xr at its launch price.

However, in another tweet, Mahesh Telecom claimed that "those who might have old stock may not sell it at a revised price", suggesting that Apple may officially announce the new price of iPhone Xr in India soon.

    Design

    iPhone Xr: At a glance

To recall, iPhone Xr features an iPhone X-like design with a notched display but with proportional bezels. It also gets a 7000-series aerospace-grade Aluminum frame with a glass back and IP67 dust and water-resistance.

Up front, the notch houses the Face ID setup and front camera while on the rear, there's a single camera module with a quad-LED True Tone flash.

    Display

iPhone Xr features the most-advanced LCD display yet

iPhone Xr sports a 6.1-inch "Liquid Retina" LCD display with a 1792x828 pixels resolution, a pixel density of 326ppi and support for P3 wide-color-gamut, Dolby Vision and HDR10.

Further, the phone comes with True Tone display technology that adjusts the color-tone depending on the ambient light.

However, there's no 3D Touch, as seen on iPhone 6S and its successors, but a Haptic Touch.

    Camera

For the shutterbugs and selfie lovers

The iPhone Xr sports a single 12MP (f/1.8) wide-angle camera with OIS, 5x digital zoom, and a Quad-LED True Tone flash with Slow Sync.

The primary camera offers features such as Smart HDR, Portrait mode, Portrait Lighting and supports 4K video recording at up to 60fps, and 1080p slow-motion recording at 120/240fps.

Up front, there's a 7MP (f/2.2) TrueDepth camera which offers Portrait mode.

    Internals

    Under the hood

The iPhone Xr, like iPhone Xs and iPhone Xs Max, is powered by the 7nm A12 Bionic chip which has a 6-core CPU, a 4-core GPU and comes paired with an 8-core Apple-designed Neural Engine.

The phone comes in 64GB/128GB/256GB storage options and runs iOS 12 out-of-the-box.

Further, Apple claims iPhone Xr lasts up to 1.5 hours longer than iPhone 8 Plus (2,691mAh battery).

    Nitty-gritty

    Onboard sensors and connectivity options
