Apple launches education hub in India to train supplier employees
Apple just launched its first-ever education hub in India, right in Bengaluru—joining similar hubs in the US, Vietnam, and China.
Starting March 2026, the center will offer skill-building courses to supplier employees across 25+ sites nationwide.
Apple teamed up with Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) for this big step.
Courses will cover digital literacy, Swift coding, and more
The first courses roll out with Tata Electronics and cover digital literacy, Swift coding, robotics, automation tech, and smart manufacturing.
MAHE faculty will train trainers using a "train-the-trainer" approach so more people can benefit.
The goal: expand from 75+ to over 100 courses by year-end.
Apple backs initiative with $50-million supplier employee development fund
Backed by Apple's $50-million Supplier Employee Development Fund, this hub is all about giving thousands of workers real leadership and tech skills as India ramps up manufacturing.
As Sarah Chandler from Apple puts it, the hub aims to "unlock even more potential" of workers by giving them structured academic opportunities—pretty cool if you're eyeing future-ready skills.
