Apple's foldable iPad delayed to 2029

Technology

Apple's much-awaited foldable iPad won't be landing until 2029, a year later than planned.
The holdup? Apple is still working out the kinks with its heavy design and display tech—prototypes tip the scales at about 1.59kg, which is way heavier than today's iPad Pros.

The device will open up to an 18-inch OLED screen

This iPad will open up to an 18-inch OLED screen made with Samsung Display.
Closed, it looks like a sleek Mac laptop with an aluminum shell and no outside display; opened, it matches the size of a 13-inch MacBook Air but skips the physical keyboard.

Expect some sticker shock

Expect some sticker shock: at around $3,900, this foldable iPad costs three times as much as a regular 13-inch iPad Pro.
It'll go head-to-head with Huawei's MateBook Fold, which comes in at $3,400.
