Blue Origin's Mars mission launch rescheduled to November 13

Technology

Blue Origin's big Mars mission is now set for November 13, 2025, after weather and intense solar storms forced a short delay.
These storms not only made the skies tricky but also created some wild aurora sightings across the US—even as far south as Texas and Florida.
The launch will send two NASA satellites to Mars, making this Blue Origin's first major science mission for a paying customer and its first launch of any kind since January.

Satellites will study solar particles' impact on Mars

The EscaPADE satellites will spend nearly two years studying how solar particles mess with Mars's magnetic field and atmosphere.
By tracking these interactions, scientists hope to get a better grip on what's happening above Mars—and why its atmosphere keeps slipping away.
