BSNL unveils 5G service in India sans SIM

BSNL just rolled out its 5G Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) service, letting you get fast internet at home without a SIM card, mobile device, or messy cables.
Right now, it's available in select areas and is designed to make high-speed internet easier to access—especially where traditional connections aren't great.

TL;DR

BSNL vs Vodafone Idea

The new BSNL service starts at ₹999/month for 100Mbps speeds and goes up to ₹1,499/month for 300Mbps.
It mainly targets smaller cities with limited fiber options by using rooftop equipment that connects straight to your Wi-Fi router (but no voice calls).
Meanwhile, Vodafone Idea is also stepping up its game by launching 5G in big cities like Delhi, Mumbai, and Bengaluru—so the race for better internet across India is definitely heating up.
