OpenAI just rolled out Instant Checkout for ChatGPT users in the US, letting you buy stuff directly in chat on sites like Etsy and Shopify.
You can pay with Apple Pay, Google Pay, credit cards, or Stripe—just tap and you're done.

OpenAI teams up with Stripe for this

Before this update, ChatGPT only gave product suggestions. Now you can actually finish your purchase without ever leaving the chat.
OpenAI teamed up with Stripe to make this happen and will take a small fee from merchants per sale—but they promise recommendations will stay "natural and unsponsored."
Plus, they're open-sourcing their Agentic Commerce Protocol so more shops can add this feature easily.
Stripe says they're excited to help businesses sell directly through AI chats.
