Delhi High Court to rule on Telegram ban in India

Telegram is fighting a government-imposed ban in India, and the Delhi High Court will soon decide its fate.
The ban was put in place just before the NEET-UG 2026 re-exam on June 21, affecting more than 150 million users.
Telegram says the move was unfair, while the government insists it followed all proper steps.
Indian government disables Telegram post-editing feature
The original NEET-UG exam, conducted on May 3, was canceled following allegations of widespread paper leak and irregularities.
Authorities accused Telegram of being used to share leaked papers and connect cheaters.
To tackle this, the government ordered Telegram's post-editing feature disabled and had it removed from app stores, making it mostly inaccessible unless you use a VPN.
