Flipboard launches Surf web app aggregating Bluesky, Mastodon, YouTube, podcasts
Flipboard just dropped Surf, a fresh social app made for platforms like Bluesky and Mastodon.
Besides letting you scroll feeds from those networks, Surf also pulls in updates from websites, podcasts, and YouTube channels, all in one spot.
Right now, it's live on the web (with mobile apps still in beta), and you can connect your Mastodon or Bluesky accounts to search across tons of content.
Surf shows interactions on linked accounts
Surf lets you interact with posts (likes and comments show up on your linked accounts), so everything stays connected.
Hashtags keep things organized for easier community vibes, while video-first feeds and interactive podcast links make it feel lively.
By bringing all your interactions under one roof, Surf aims to keep things simple and accessible.
As Flipboard CEO Mike McCue puts it, Surf is a new way to discover, share, and engage with the best of the web.
