Gemini AI now available in Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive
Google just rolled out Gemini AI for Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Drive, so you can now draft Docs, crunch numbers, or whip up summaries with a little help from AI.
It even pulls information from Gmail and Chat to get you started on new projects faster.
How Gemini works across these apps
Docs gets a "Help me create" button for instant drafts. In Sheets, the =AI() function builds tables and formulas for you.
Slides can generate images and remove backgrounds. On Drive, there are AI Overviews (smart summaries) and natural-language search and 'Ask Gemini in Drive' capabilities for querying and organizing files.
Limited availability for now
Right now, these features are in beta for Google AI Pro and Ultra subscribers.
Docs, Sheets, and Slides support English worldwide; Drive's new tools are U.S.-only for now.
Availability for Education plans is not specified.
