Google Chrome for iPhone gets Gemini boost

Technology

Chrome on iPhone just got smarter—Google has added Gemini right into the browser.
Now, instead of the old Lens icon, you'll spot the Gemini logo in your address bar.
Tap it and you'll find handy tools like "Search screen" and a new "Ask Gemini" option to help you do more without leaving your page.

What can Gemini do for you?

Gemini lets you quickly summarize web pages, get FAQs, break down tricky topics, or even tweak recipes—all with answers popping up right over what you're reading.
The look matches what Android users have had for a while.
For now, it's rolling out in the US to signed-in iPhone and iPad users who use English in Chrome (not available in Incognito).
This is all part of Chrome's latest update, which also brings faster performance and new biometric checkout options.
