Google Fi's new AI audio: clearer calls, less noise
Google Fi Wireless just dropped an AI-powered feature that makes your calls sound way better—on both Android and iOS.
It uses Google's AI to cut out background noise (think wind, traffic, construction) and boosts speech clarity, so even calls to landlines or old phones feel more natural.
How it works (and why it's cool)
This isn't your basic noise cancelation. The AI smartly filters out annoying sounds while keeping voices crisp on both sides of the call.
Android users will spot an "AI-enhanced by Google Fi" tag during calls.
All the audio processing happens securely on Google's servers, and any changes you make show up next time you call.
More upgrades coming soon
The AI audio boost is part of a bigger batch of updates for November 2025—including easier Wi-Fi connections at major US airports and RCS web messaging rolling out in December.
With these upgrades, Google Fi is aiming to be more than just another phone carrier—it wants to make staying connected smoother for everyone.
