Google Gemini replaces Assistant on select TVs
Technology
Google is rolling out its new Gemini for TV update, swapping out the old Assistant for a smarter, more conversational AI.
Now you can ask your TV stuff like "Why do volcanoes erupt?" or get show suggestions that mix up your favorite genres—think drama and comedy in one go.
Gemini's TV debut
Gemini first showed up on TCL QM9K TVs, but now it's expanding to Walmart Onn 4K Pro and 2025 Hisense U7/U8 models.
Just hit the mic button on your remote to try it out.
The update will arrive in waves over the next few weeks, so some TVs might get it a bit later than others.
