Google Meet rolling out on Android Auto with audio calls
Technology
Google Meet is rolling out for Android Auto, so you'll soon be able to join meetings from your car: no video, just audio.
The feature kicks in automatically when you plug your phone into a compatible dashboard, and Google expects everyone to have access by the end of June 2026.
Meet on Android Auto adds tabs
Meet on Android Auto keeps things simple: there's a "Scheduled" tab for upcoming meetings (from your calendar) and a "History" tab for recent calls.
Video is disabled for safety, and controls like mute or end call are easy to reach.
To get started, just open and restart the app on your phone: your meeting links will show up if they're already in your calendar.
