Google NotebookLM now lets you snap and upload images on mobile

Technology

Google's NotebookLM app just got a handy update: you can now take photos with your phone and use them as sources.
Whether it's handwritten notes, whiteboards, handouts, or infographics, capturing info on the go is much easier.
This feature first rolled out to the web in mid-November 2025 and is now becoming widely available for Android and iOS.

Camera feature makes studying (and life) simpler

You'll spot a camera button right on the homepage and Sources tab—just tap to snap a photo or pick one from your gallery.
It's a smooth way to add real-world content straight into your research or study projects, making NotebookLM even more useful for busy students and creators.

More upgrades for mobile users

Besides the camera tool, flashcards, quizzes, and source selection are now more accessible on mobile.
Plus, Infographics and Slides are back for everyone—free or Pro—so you can create visual content without extra cost.
All these tweaks make NotebookLM friendlier for learning anywhere.
