Google widely rolls out Android Auto 14.4 update

You'll notice smoother animations, updated color themes, and sleeker icons in both light and dark modes—including a refreshed Google Assistant icon. It's all about making things look and feel nicer while you drive.

If you have a Samsung Galaxy S22/S23/S24 or Pixel 8a-9, Google Assistant's Driving Mode has been removed with this update—possibly to make room for future features like Gemini (which isn't live yet). For now, most changes are visual or behind-the-scenes; nothing majorly different in how you use it day-to-day.
