Google's new 'Deep Think' mode supercharges Gemini 3 AI

Technology

Google just released Deep Think for its Gemini 3 Pro AI, but it's only available if you're on the Google AI Ultra subscription.
This new mode helps the AI handle tough math, science, and logic problems by exploring multiple hypotheses at once—plus, it can write more refined code for better visualizations and prototyping.

What's different and how to try it

Deep Think seriously outperforms the older Gemini 2.5, scoring much higher in key tests like Humanity's Last Exam (41%), GPQA Diamond (93.8%), and ARC-AGI-2 with code execution (45.1%).
After a short delay for extra safety checks last month, it's now live.
If you want to try Deep Think, you'll need an Ultra subscription ($250/month), then just pick 'Thinking' from the Tools menu in Gemini 3—the answers might take a few minutes to show up.
