IIT Madras launches Alloy Tattvasar AI platform for eco alloys
IIT Madras has rolled out Alloy Tattvasar, an AI-powered platform designed to make finding eco-friendly metallic alloys way faster.
It's a big deal for industries like electric vehicles, aerospace, and renewable energy, since the tool pulls together more than 185,000 records from more than 10,000 scientific research papers using Large Language Models (LLMs).
Alloy Tattvasar tracks 350+ properties
Alloy Tattvasar is a platform that provides access to one of the world's largest public alloy databases.
It automatically gathers details on alloy types, how they're made and tested, plus tracks more than 350 material properties, while also considering environmental and social impacts.
The team plans to expand it to cover polymers, ceramics, and composite materials, helping push sustainable materials even further.
