India publicly releases Eka-1 Dhir 2B and Dhir 5B models

India just rolled out three new AI foundation models: Eka-1 from Soket Labs, plus Dhir 2B and Dhir 5B from ZenteiQ.
Secretary of the Electronics and IT Ministry S. Krishnan said the public release of the models marks an important step toward building a strong and strategic AI ecosystem in the country.
Models designed for air-gapped enterprise use
These AIs are built for secure, offline (air-gapped) use, making them suitable for secure and enterprise-based artificial intelligence applications, including cybersecurity.
It all adds up to stronger digital security and more homegrown innovation.
