ISRO's big launch streak: 7 missions by March 2026
ISRO is gearing up for a busy year and a bit—planning seven launches by March next year (March 2026), including the much-awaited first uncrewed Gaganyaan mission.
This push fits into Prime Minister Modi's vision of hitting 50 launches in five years, and ISRO Chairman S. Somanath just shared the news after their latest successful rocket launch.
What's coming up?
Before sending humans to space, ISRO will run two more uncrewed Gaganyaan test missions after the upcoming one—the hardware for the first is already being put together at Sriharikota.
The main goal is to make sure all crew systems work smoothly, with the first test flight expected early next year.
Alongside that, there are launches lined up for commercial satellites (including one for NewSpace India Limited), a tech demo called PSLV-N1, and another big GSLV-F17 mission—all part of ISRO's sprint toward more human spaceflight and commercial projects.
