  • Jio Phone, the smart feature phone from Reliance Jio will become more affordable this festive season.

    According to the company, the 4G-enabled feature phone will be available at a special price of Rs. 699 starting October 4.

    To recall, the Jio Phone was launched in 2017 at Rs. 1,500 and has been available at a discounted price under an exchange offer.

  • As part of the Jio Phone Diwali 2019 offer, the Jio Phone will be available at just Rs. 699 starting from October 4.

    The company has also announced that it will offer data benefits worth Rs. 700 to customers recharging the Jio Phone.

    However, the free data offer will be applicable to new Jio Phone users and not existing owners.

  • To claim the free data offer, Jio Phone customers will need to make the first seven recharges (denomination not known as of now, but most likely with Rs. 99) and the company will add additional Rs. 99 worth of data to your account.

    Meanwhile, here's recalling the Jio Phone

  • The Jio Phone features a 2.4-inch QVGA TFT display with a 2MP rear camera and a VGA front camera for video calling.

    The handset is powered by a dual-core processor, 128MB of RAM, and 4GB internal storage (expandable upto 128GB).

    Further, JioPhone runs KaiOS, packs a 2,000mAh battery, and supports 4G/3G/2G networks, VoLTE, VoWiFi, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC, FM Radio, as well as GPS.

  • Jio Phone supports a bunch of popular social media and productivity apps including YouTube, WhatsApp, Facebook, Google Maps, and even Google Assistant.

    The phone also comes preloaded with the Jio suite of apps including JioSaavn, JioCinema, JioTV, JioShare, JioVideoCall, and JioRail which lets you book tickets via IRCTC.

    There's also an official app store called JioStore which can be used to download other apps.
