Lenovo Z5 Pro with sliding camera to launch today

Lenovo is all set to launch its latest flagship, the Lenovo Z5 Pro, in China on October 1. Recently, Lenovo VP Chang Chen briefly showcased the phone, highlighting its edge-to-edge all-screen design - something we've seen on OPPO Find X and Vivo Nex. Moreover, a hands-on video of Z5 Pro was also leaked on Weibo, revealing a slider front camera. Here's everything we know.

Lenovo Z5 Pro: At a glance

Lenovo Z5 Pro was briefly shown at the company's Tech World 2018 event in China to reveal its edge-to-edge all-screen design. The phone was seen sporting a notch-less OPPO Find X-like design but with a slimmer yet prominent bottom bezel. Further, the Z5 Pro is also said to feature an in-display display fingerprint sensor - much like the Vivo Nex.

Lenovo Z5 Pro will feature a sliding front camera

While we don't have details about Z5 Pro's rear camera, a hands-on video of the phone has given away details of its front camera. Following in the footsteps of Vivo and OPPO, Lenovo has opted for slider front camera. However, the sliding mechanism is manual and not motorized as we have seen on the trendsetting Vivo Nex and OPPO Find X.

    Under the hood

While much isn't known about Z5 Pro's specs, we expect the phone to pack top-end internals. As a flagship smartphone with the latest design and innovation, the Lenovo Z5 could be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor. Further, looking at present-day flagship smartphones, the upcoming Lenovo flagship would feature up to 8GB RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage.
