Meta's smart glasses can now integrate with Garmin and Strava

Technology

Meta is giving its older Ray-Ban and Oakley smart glasses a fresh update—now you can use Garmin and Strava features without buying a new pair.
The "Autocapture with Garmin" tool lets your glasses record workout highlights and show real-time stats like distance and pace, making fitness tracking hands-free and more convenient.

How to connect your old glasses to Garmin devices

With this update, you can connect your Ray-Ban Meta Gen 1 or 2, or Oakley Meta HSTN glasses to Garmin devices by installing the Meta AI app via the Connect IQ store on the Garmin device.
Strava integration is also rolling out in some app versions, though you might need to set up a new Meta AI account to get it working.
All in all, these upgrades bring significant new features to your old smart glasses—no need for an expensive upgrade just yet!
