    Xiaomi Mi 10 smartphone teased in India, launch soon

    Xiaomi is all set to launch the Mi 10 series of smartphones globally on March 27. It is also expected that the company would announce the standard Mi 10 in India on the same day itself. In the latest development, Xiaomi India has updated its Twitter handle with the caption "#108MPIsHere", hinting at the imminent launch of the flagship Mi 10 in the country.

    The phone would be sold in India via Amazon

    Amazon India had also teased the arrival of the Mi 10 from its official Twitter handle, suggesting that the phone would be sold through the e-commerce platform. Separately, Manu Kumar Jain, Xiaomi's India chief, has also tweeted about the launch of Mi 10.

    Mi 10 Pro is unlikely to hit Indian shelves: Report

    Going by the reports and social media rumors, Xiaomi will bring just the standard Mi 10 in India. The more premium Mi 10 Pro is unlikely to be launched in the country. To note, the Mi 10 starts at CNY 3,999 (approximately Rs. 41,000) and the Pro model starts at CNY 4,999 (approximately Rs. 51,000) in China.

    Meanwhile, here's what Mi 10 offers

    The Mi 10 comes with an all-glass body featuring an edge-to-edge screen with a small display cut-out at the top left corner. The handset sports a 6.67-inch curved AMOLED display with a full-HD+ (1080x2340 pixels) resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. Further, the phone houses an under-display fingerprint sensor and is offered in Ice Blue, Peach Gold, and Titanium Silver color options.

    For the shutterbugs and selfie lovers

    The Mi 10 sports a quad camera setup comprising a gigantic 108MP (f/1.7) primary sensor, a 13MP (f/2.4) ultra-wide-angle camera, a 2MP (f/2.4) macro camera, and another 2MP (f/2.4) lens to capture depth details. Up front, the handset houses a 20MP (f/2.0) selfie snapper. Further, the main camera can record 4K video at 30fps, while the selfie snapper supports full-HD video recording at 30fps.

    Under the hood

    The Mi 10 is powered by a 5G-ready Snapdragon 865 octa-core processor, coupled with up to 12GB RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage. The phone runs Android 10-based MIUI 11 and packs a 4,780mAh battery that supports 30W wired and wireless fast charging. In addition, it gets all the latest connectivity options including dual-SIMs (Nano), Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, and Type-C port.
