Microsoft PowerToys is about to make multi-monitor life way easier

Microsoft has announced a new PowerToys feature called PowerDisplay, designed to help you manage multiple monitors on Windows 11 without the usual hassle.
Announced by Niels Laute from the PowerToys team, this tool lets you quickly adjust brightness, contrast, and volume for each screen right from your taskbar—no more digging through menus.

What else to know

PowerDisplay officially drops in January 2026 but is already up for early testing.
It'll sit alongside favorites like FancyZones and Awake in the free PowerToys suite, available on the Microsoft Store or GitHub.
Unlike third-party apps, it's built to feel like a natural part of Windows—making your setup smoother and more customizable based on what users have been asking for.
