NASA Artemis II Reid Wiseman's outlook failed 7 hours in
Technology
NASA's Artemis II crew, on a lunar mission, ran into a tech hiccup when Commander Reid Wiseman's Microsoft Outlook stopped working about seven hours in.
Reid Wiseman called Houston mission control
Wiseman called up Mission Control in Houston for help, since his device, basically a Windows laptop made astronaut-friendly, wasn't responding.
NASA flight controller Robert Frost explained these systems are designed to be familiar for astronauts.
Luckily, Mission Control could jump in remotely and let the commander know when they were done, showing just how important solid tech support is when you're far from home.
