Technology
NASA just launched Artemis II, the first crewed mission to the Moon since Apollo, on April 1, 2026.
This flight isn't just about visiting; it's a big step in testing new tech for future deep space missions, with Mars as the long-term goal.
The launch happened at Kennedy Space Center using NASA's powerful SLS rocket.
Astronauts to orbit Moon, test Orion
This mission is making history with its diverse team: Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover, Christina Koch, and Jeremy Hansen.
About 10 days, they'll fly around the Moon in Orion, checking out life support and navigation systems.
After their journey, they'll splash down in the Pacific where the US Navy will pick them up, paving the way for even bigger adventures beyond Earth.
