NASA's Artemis II marks 1st lunar flyby in more than 50 years
NASA's Artemis II mission is making history, sending astronauts around the moon for the first time in over 50 years.
It's all part of NASA's big plan to get people back on the lunar surface and eventually send astronauts on future lunar landing missions there.
Even Google joined in on the excitement with a special Doodle showing off the spacecraft's journey.
Artemis II will test key systems
This 10-day trip will put key systems (like navigation, communications, and life support) to the test with real people on board.
The crew features commander Reid Wiseman, pilot Victor Glover, and mission specialists Christina Koch and Jeremy Hansen.
Their work will help pave the way for future moon landings.
The adventure wraps up with a splashdown near Florida once they're back home.
