The first batch of devices set to receive the update includes Phone (2), Phone (3), Phone (2a), Phone (2a) Plus, Phone (3a), and Phone (3a) Pro. More models such as the upcoming Phone (3a) Lite and CMF sub-brand devices will follow later.
Feature highlights
New features in Nothing OS 4.0
Nothing OS 4.0 packs a ton of new features. The Extra Dark Mode is designed to make late-night use easier on the eyes, while the Pop-Up View feature offers floating windows for quicker multitasking. The update also introduces a larger 2x2 Quick Settings tile and two new lock screen styles. Plus, creators can now share custom widgets across devices via the Playground portal.
Camera upgrades
Camera enhancements and privacy features
The Phone (2) series also gets a major camera upgrade with the Stretch mode, which was previously exclusive to the Phone (3). This feature provides wider and sharper photos. The Lock Glimpse widget on the lock screen offers curated content and timely alerts. However, on the Phone (3a) line, this feature is disabled by default for privacy reasons.
